Prayer Service for Dreamers on Capitol Hill

A prayer service for Dreamers will be held outside the Capitol at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6. The event aims to unite Catholics in a nonpartisan, prayerful setting to emphasize the urgency of passing bipartisan legislation for Dreamers.

Members of the Catholic community will lead the group in a Scripture readings, song, prayers of petition and an immigrant-rosary. Dreamers, priests, religious women and other faith organization workers will be in attendance. Participating agencies will bring their organizational or immigration-themed banners and attendees have been asked to bring signs of support. Participants from all denominations are welcome.

Hosting organizations include: The Daughters of Charity, NETWORK, Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc., Franciscan Action Network, and the Leadership Conference of Women Religious

Participants will meet on the lawn of the Capitol near the Senate Side, by Constitution Avenue and First Street NE.
