Mon Dieu! Monsieur, how happy are they who give themselves unreservedly to Him to do the works that Jesus Christ did and to practice the virtues He practiced, such as poverty, obedience, humility, patience, zeal, and the rest! It is in this way that they are true disciples of such a Master; they live purely by His Spirit, spreading abroad, with the perfume of His divine life, the merit of His holy actions, to the edification of the soul for whom He died and rose again.
