Sister Bernice Coreil, D.C., launches the ceremonial first pitch before an April 27 St. Louis Cardinals game at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. The senior executive advisor to Ascension’s president and chief executive is a sports enthusiast. She told Ascension colleagues, “It was a thrill to step onto the field, meet some of the players and staff, and be part of such a wonderful tradition.”
The Philadelphia Phillies won the game with a score of 4 to 1, but her beloved Cardinals are off to a strong start in 2015.
